BLAZE

BLAZE is based on the true story of Blaze Bernstein, a 19-year-old UPenn student from Orange County, CA. On the tragic evening of January 2nd, 2018, Blaze matched on Tinder with Sam Woodward, the loner from his arts high school, and met him at the park next to his old elementary school. Blaze never came home. What would unfold was a web of homophobia, Anti-Semitism, Atomwaffen nazis, fascism, bullying and self-hatred, which led to a flimsy alibi that ultimately ends in Sam’s arrest for Blaze’s murder. In a world where evil forces can take any face and radicalization is only ever a click away, BLAZE is the timely story of how one young man’s struggle with identity can lead to unimaginable consequences.

Traversing family, friends, and getting older, Priya is eyeing the prize at a dance contest that is coming up, and so is her best friend, Rita. PRIYA, AT 12 is a coming-of-age comedy about evolving family dynamics, standing up to bullies, and the elaborate world of Indian dance.

IMPOLITE CONVERSATIONS

In 2014 Cora Daniels and John L. Jackson wrote a book entitled IMPOLITE CONVERSATIONS. The book is a set of alternating essays on Race, Politics, Sex, Money and Religion that are frank, honest and ideas rarely heard in public spaces. In the past decade since the book was published, real dialogue has disappeared from our discourse, replaced by shouting and divisiveness. In 2021, With a Twist Productions decided to  create a series fostering dialogue in this country with the goal of creating a safe space where the most intractable issues that society is facing can be debated. A place where we allow dialogue without judgment and promote thoughtful inquiry into some of today’s most challenging issues.

2X4 FOUNDATION

A simple concept: Women helping women. With the support of our Grantors, 2X4 FOUNDATION  is supporting U.S. based non-profits that are grassroots, providing essential services that help to uplift the lives of women in this country. Without the limitations of specific grant amounts or an extended grant application process, 2x4 will meet these non-profits where they are to understand their mission and process and experience their funding needs. In effect 2x4 will turn the grant process on its head, putting the onus on the Foundation, not the service providing non-profits, to initiate contact and provide funding to sustain and expand their services. 2x4 is a non-partisan, non-policy group working for the lives of all women in areas such as women’s health, education and safety. The foundation believes that through our collective strength and action, we can create a positive effect that ripples outward to uplift all women.
